The Chief Minister stated that Haryana is adjacent to Delhi, and many people here conduct their businesses and other activities. Various projects were discussed and deliberated upon to provide metro rail and RRTS (Regional Rapid Transit System) services. He further mentioned that the possibilities of connecting Delhi Airport to Gurugram, Faridabad, and Jewar Airport via RRTS will be explored and studied.
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh stated that since Haryana is adjacent to Delhi, the state government and the central government (the double-engine government) are continuously working to provide facilities like Metro Rail and the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) to the people of Haryana. He mentioned that discussions and deliberations were held with Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal, regarding the expansion of the Metro and the establishment of RRTS. The Union Minister has also approved the study of various Metro Rail and RRTS projects.

He further mentioned that today, the possibilities of connecting Delhi Airport with Gurugram, Faridabad, and Jewar Airport through RRTS will be explored and studied.
Discussions were held today on the RRTS from Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to Karnal and the metro line connecting Gurugram to AIIMS Badsa. The Chief Minister mentioned that under the leadership of Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs, Mr. Manohar Lal, Haryana will greatly benefit from the implementation of these projects.
Union Minister Manohar Lal spoke about providing metro rail and RRTS facilities to the public, stating that a study will be conducted on connecting Palam Vihar in Gurugram to the airport via metro. The possibility of laying two separate metro lines will also be explored. Similarly, studies will be conducted on extending the Bahadurgarh to Asoda metro line, the Ballabgarh to Palwal line, the Sector-9 Gurugram to AIIMS Badsa line, and the Dhansa (Delhi) to AIIMS Badsa line. The extension of the RRTS from Sarai Kale Khan to Panipat up to Karnal will also be studied. Furthermore, a proposal will be prepared to extend the RRTS from Sarai Kale Khan to Dharuhera, Bawal, and Shahjahanpur in Rajasthan.
The Union Minister mentioned that a metro rail line between Gurugram and Faridabad was not feasible, so now an RRTS system will be studied for implementation. He also stated that a study will be conducted for laying a line from Palam Airport in Delhi to Gurugram, passing through Faridabad and reaching Jewar Airport.
The cost of the proposed metro line from Sector-56 in Gurugram to Pachgaon will be borne by the Haryana government. Once the DPR (Detailed Project Report) is received, the project will be approved by the central ministry within 15 days.
The meeting was attended by Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary V. Umashankar, Principal Advisor on Urban Development D.S. Dhesi, Managing Director of Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation Chandrashekhar Khare, Additional Chief Secretary of Town and Planning Department Arun Kumar Gupta, Chief Minister’s Media Advisor Rajeev Jaitley, and AC Neha Singh, along with officials from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, DMRC, and other central agencies.
