Passengers Traveling to Vaishno Devi Will Have to Rely on Buses and Private Vehicles
Gurugram: Due to redevelopment work at Jammu Tawi Railway Station, several trains traveling to Jammu have been canceled until March 6.
As a result, the Pooja Express (train numbers 12413-14) operating between Ajmer and Jammu Tawi, and the Shalimar Malani Express (train numbers 14661-62) running between Barmer and Jammu Tawi, will remain canceled. This situation has arisen due to the ongoing redevelopment work at Jammu Tawi station.
The cancellation of these two trains will impact devotees traveling from Gurugram to Katra for Vaishno Devi Darshan, as they will have to rely on buses, cabs, or their private vehicles.
Passengers are disappointed with the cancellation of the Pooja Express and Shalimar Malani Express trains.
Additionally, with no trains available to Jammu until March 6, booked tickets have also been canceled. The railway department has informed passengers about this via text messages.
Passengers arriving at Gurugram Railway Station to inquire about the trains are being informed about the cancellations.
Train Schedules:
– Pooja Express (Train 12413) departs from Ajmer Railway Station at 2:10 PM, reaches Gurugram Railway Station at 8:34 PM, and arrives at Jammu Tawi the next morning at 7:30 AM.
– Pooja Express (Train 12414) departs from Jammu Tawi at 6:15 PM, reaches Gurugram at 5:01 AM the next day.
– Shalimar Malani Express (Train 14661) departs from Barmer Railway Station at 12:20 AM, reaches Gurugram at 3:30 PM.
– Shalimar Malani Express (Train 14662) departs from Jammu Tawi at 10:25 PM, reaching Gurugram at 11:58 AM the following day.
According to Bhur Singh Meena, Superintendent of Gurugram Railway Station, the Pooja Express and Shalimar Malani Express trains have been canceled until March 6 due to redevelopment work at Jammu Tawi station.
Passengers are being informed about the cancellations at the inquiry center.
