Plan Ready for Laying 300mm Sewer Line, Work to Cost ₹67 Lakh
Gurugram: The Narsinghpur service road on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway will soon get relief from waterlogging. The Municipal Corporation has prepared a plan to lay a new sewer line in the area.
According to officials, once the new sewer line is installed, frequent water logging issues will be resolved. As per the tender conditions, the selected agency will have to complete the work within 150 days.
Since the monsoon, the condition of the Narsinghpur service road along the Delhi-Jaipur Highway has deteriorated. Overflowing sewage water often accumulates, disrupting traffic and causing inconvenience to local residents, pedestrians, and nearby shopkeepers.
Municipal officials stated that a 300mm sewer line will be laid on the right side of the Narsinghpur service road towards Jaipur on National Highway-8 in Ward No. 2. The project will be carried out with an estimated budget of ₹67 lakh.
After receiving approval from higher authorities, the tender process has begun. The tender will be opened on February 17, and the agency will be selected as per regulations.
They also assured that the Model Code of Conduct for municipal elections will not affect the tender process, and the selection will be completed as per the rules.
Sanjeev Kumar, XEN, Municipal Corporation Gurugram, confirmed that the plan to lay a sewer line on Narsinghpur service road is in place.
Even during the Model Code of Conduct, sewerage-related works can proceed. Once the tender process is completed, the work order will be issued, and the project will begin soon.
