Civil Surgeon of Gurugram Appointed as Director of National Health Mission

Haryana Govt. Elevates Dr. Virendra Yadav to NHM Director, Assigns Dr. Rajiv Batish to Lead Malaria Department

Additional Chief Secretary Sudhir Rajpal has issued an order promoting Gurugram’s Civil Surgeon, Dr. Virendra Yadav, to the position of Director of the National Health Mission (NHM). Meanwhile, Dr. Rajiv Batish has been appointed as the Director of the Malaria Department.

After the new government’s formation in Haryana, the transfer and promotion of government officials began. Gurugram’s DC, Nishant Kumar Yadav, has already been appointed DC of Chandigarh. Gurugram’s Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Dr. Virendra Yadav, has now been promoted to Director of the National Health Mission (NHM).

Dr. Virendra Yadav, who is also Gurugram’s Civil Surgeon, was appointed as the CMO of Gurugram during the COVID-19 pandemic, after which he enhanced Gurugram’s COVID-19 management systems. During a meeting with frontline workers amid the pandemic, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also praised Dr. Virendra Yadav’s efforts.
