Haryana Assembly Elections 2024 are approaching, with voting scheduled for October 5. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to launch the election campaign from Kurukshetra today. He will address a Jan Aashirwad rally at the Theme Park in Kurukshetra shortly. PM Modi aims to connect with voters from 23 assembly seats in North Haryana through this rally.
Strengthening the GT Belt
Usually, PM Modi starts his election rallies from South Haryana. However, this time he has chosen Kurukshetra, the land of the Gita, to strengthen the GT Belt. The BJP has put in full effort to make this rally a success. The state party president and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini have already visited the venue to oversee preparations.
First Visit After Lok Sabha Elections
This is PM Modi’s first visit to Haryana since the Lok Sabha elections. He aims to secure a third consecutive win for the BJP in the state. The party has instructed its workers to bring as many people as possible to the rally. Heavy rains on Friday night and early Saturday morning have created challenges, especially due to the mud at the rally site.
Tight Security Arrangements
The administration has worked hard to clear the rally site using JCBs and tractors. While the sun came out in the morning, the early rain caused fresh mud at the venue. Most of the area is now ready for the crowd. Workers were filling potholes on the roads throughout the night. Shops from the third gate of Kurukshetra University to the rally site have been closed, and police officers are stationed at every corner.
Jammu & Kashmir’s Future
PM Modi has assured the people of Jammu & Kashmir that his government will build a secure future for the region. He stated that this election will decide the fate of Jammu & Kashmir. Modi promised to work with even greater dedication for the people and the country, ensuring a safe and prosperous future for the region. This, he said, is his guarantee.
