Efforts will be accelerated to improve Gurugram’s cleanliness and ensure regular waste collection. Officials have been instructed to carry out regular cleaning of all garbage vulnerable points in their respective areas and to monitor these locations to prevent littering after cleaning.
In Gurugram, there is a ban on the sale of all types of firecrackers except green crackers. Retail sales of these crackers will also not be allowed. The Gurugram Municipal Corporation teams will continuously monitor the area to ensure compliance, and those who violate the ban will face fines and other actions as per the regulations.
Dr. Balpreet Singh, Additional Commissioner of the Gurugram Municipal Corporation, instructed the Joint Commissioners of all four zones to ensure compliance with the regulations in their respective areas. He emphasised the need to form teams for continuous monitoring. If any individual violates the rules, appropriate action will be taken against them as per the regulations. Dr. Singh also stated that the teams will conduct regular raids in their designated areas.

Instructions have also been given to the relevant officials to expedite the process of installing CCTV cameras on GVP. Additionally, it should be ensured that regular waste collection is conducted from secondary waste collection points and that it is transported to the Bandhwari waste disposal plant. He directed the officials overseeing the Bandhwari waste disposal facility to ensure that vehicles arriving with waste do not experience excessive delays in unloading, allowing them to make as many trips as possible.
