Nuh: Armed criminals traveling in a camper, Thar, and motorcycles kidnapped a car passenger at gunpoint near the Palla Hostel on Tawadu Road. The accused allegedly assaulted the victim and demanded a ransom of ₹5 lakh.
Upon receiving the information, the police rescued the victim. Based on the victim’s statement, Nuh Sadar police have registered a case under various sections against five named accused and ten unidentified individuals. However, all the accused are currently absconding.
Zakir, a resident of Silakho village, stated that on February 1, he was traveling to Nuh in a car with two companions. Around 11 AM, near the Palla village border and the hostel, a camper vehicle suddenly blocked their path.
Five to six men armed with sticks and other weapons got out and started assaulting them at gunpoint. Soon, another group of six to seven individuals arrived on a Thar and a motorcycle and also attacked them. The assailants forcibly abducted them.
According to Zakir, he recognized five of the attackers, all residents of Palla village. The kidnappers took them to a farmhouse, stripped them, and subjected them to indecent behavior.
One of the assailants pointed a gun at his head and forced him to call his younger brother to demand a ransom of ₹5 lakh, threatening to kill him if the money was not paid. It is alleged that some people from his own village were also involved in the conspiracy.
Meanwhile, his companion Tahir informed the police about the abduction, leading to their rescue. The victim claims that the Nuh Sadar police initially detained the accused for questioning but later released them. They had to approach the Superintendent of Police (SP) for action.
On the other hand, Station House Officer (SHO) Kuldeep stated that a financial dispute has come to light in this case. Some individuals were interrogated before registering the case.
Currently, based on the victim’s complaint, a case has been filed against Arif, Wasim, Asif, Nafees, Yahya, and ten other unidentified persons. Efforts to contact the Nuh SP for further information were unsuccessful.
