Bulldozer Action on Four Illegal Colonies and Structures

15 Shops Demolished Amid Heavy Police Presence
Tabru: The administration took action on Wednesday in Rathiwas and Tabru revenue areas, demolishing four illegal colonies and structures using bulldozers.

Along with this, 15 unauthorized shops were also dismantled. A heavy police force was deployed during the operation.

District Town Planning Officer and Duty Magistrate Binesh Kumar stated that shop owners were repeatedly notified before the action, but they ignored the warnings and continued illegal construction.

The team of the District Town Planning Officer first reached the Tabru revenue area. There, they demolished an unauthorized colony spread over 1.5 acres, including mud roads, WBM (water-bound macadam) road networks, walls, and two illegal commercial shops.

Additionally, another unauthorized colony covering one acre, where construction was underway, had its mud roads dismantled.

In Rathiwas village, an unauthorized colony’s mud road network and DPC (Damp Proof Course) were demolished. Similarly, in Tabru Rural, an unauthorized colony’s mud road network and DPC were removed. Illegal structures in Chundhika village were also demolished.

Furthermore, 15 illegal shops were constructed within a 30-meter radius in a designated green area. Despite multiple notices, the shop owners ignored the warnings, leading to their removal.

A large crowd gathered during the operation on Wednesday. Officials advised citizens to verify land details with the District Town Planning Department before investing or constructing in any area.

They warned against investing in illegal constructions and emphasized that the administration will continue its crackdown on unauthorized developments across the district.
