A 10-day cricket tournament is being organized at the Government Senior Secondary School ground in Bhodakalan. The event, conducted under the aegis of Friends Cricket Club Bhodakalan, saw six teams competing on the third day.
Sandeep Kumar, a member of the Cricket Club, informed that three matches of 15 overs each were played on Tuesday.
In the first match, Bilaspur Cricket Club faced Pataudi Cricket Club. Bilaspur’s team scored an impressive 157 runs for the loss of three wickets in their allotted 15 overs. Chasing the target, Pataudi’s team was all out for 134 runs, falling short by 23 runs. Bilaspur’s player Dev Yadav was named Man of the Match for his stellar performance.
The second match was a thrilling contest between Amar Cricket Club and Baslambi Cricket Club. Baslambi set a modest target of 51 runs. In an intense match, Amar Cricket Club could only manage 50 runs for the loss of six wickets, losing by a narrow margin of one run. Baslambi’s player Ashish earned the Man of the Match title.
The third match of the day featured Nandram Pur Bas Cricket Team against Jherawali Dhani Cricket Team. Chasing a target of 87 runs set by Nandram Pur, Jherawali Dhani’s team was bowled out for 86 runs, falling just one run short. Sukhchain from Nandram Pur was declared Man of the Match for his remarkable contribution.
