Ajay Singh, the newly appointed DC of Gurugram, has taken on his role as part of a major administrative reshuffle in Haryana. Additionally, Renu Singh, the HSVP administrator of Gurugram, has been appointed as the Commissioner of Manesar Municipal Corporation, while Vishal Singh steps in as the new HSVP administrator of Gurugram. Ajay Singh, who was previously the DC of Rohtak, now serves as the New DC of Gurugram.

The reshuffle was announced on Sunday by Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, transferring 27 IAS officers and changing the Deputy Commissioners (DCs) of 10 districts, with each assigned to new districts for optimized administration. This includes positions from Gurugram’s DC to Commissioner roles. Nishant Kumar Yadav, previously Gurugram’s DC, has been transferred as the DC of Chandigarh, while Ajay Singh has now taken over as the New DC of Gurugram.

Dr. Narhari Singh Bangad, who served as the Municipal Commissioner of Gurugram, has yet to receive a new assignment, though it’s anticipated soon. Meanwhile, Nuh’s DC, Dheerendra Khadgada, has been appointed as the DC of Rohtak, and Prashant Pawar has been reinstated as Nuh’s DC following the 2023 Nuh riots when he was previously transferred.

Initially, the government issued a transfer list of 28 IAS officers, briefly assigning two IAS officers as DCs in Charkhi Dadri. Shortly after, a revised list with 27 IAS officers was released. This reshuffle, the first since the BJP government’s recent formation, has brought significant administrative changes, with Ajay Singh now serving as Gurugram’s New DC and Ashok Kumar Garg in his new role as Municipal Commissioner. Pradeep Dahiya has also been named as the new DC of Jhajjar.
