The GMDA’s action against those defacing the city’s appearance through encroachments continued on Thursday. The GMDA team removed encroachments near the bus stand and Gaushala ground in Old Gurugram. Illegally parked vehicles on the roads were also towed, and action was taken against them.
During the campaign, it was revealed that shopkeepers had already removed 70% of the encroachments. The team cleared the remaining encroachments. Improperly parked vehicles were also towed, and action will be taken against them as well. Many citizens praised this initiative during the operation.
The GMDA enforcement team conducted a third survey on the SPR Road, where they found that only 5% of the encroachers had resettled. The team took action once again and cleared the encroachments. Along with this, a warning was also issued to them.
The enforcement team in the campaign was led by DTP R.S. Bath, ATP Mange Ram, and ATP Satinder Arya, along with enforcement JEs Sumit Kumar and Ashish Tyagi. JEs from GMDA’s Infra-1 and Infra-2 divisions were also part of the team.
