An NHAI official stated that a toll plaza has been installed at the Delhi-Gurugram border on Dwarka Expressway. The work of installing signals is in its final stage. The Ministry of Transport has been informed about the installation of the toll plaza, and a plan regarding the toll charges is being prepared by the Ministry.

NHAI has started preparations to begin toll collection on Dwarka Expressway by the end of October. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has set up a satellite-based toll plaza on this expressway. The Ministry of Transport has been informed about the installation of the toll plaza.

The ministry is now deciding the toll rates, specifically how much will be charged per kilometre from this toll plaza. Drivers will be charged toll fees based on the distance travelled per kilometre on the highway.

It is worth mentioning that the 28-kilometre-long expressway is being constructed at a cost of around ₹9,000 crore. The Gurugram section of the expressway spans approximately 18.9 kilometres. NHAI has installed a 23-lane toll plaza near Chouma village at the Delhi-Gurugram border. Currently, around 20,000 vehicles travel daily from Gurugram towards Dwarka in Delhi.

The Gurugram section of this expressway was opened in February of this year, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurating it. The expressway is being constructed at a cost of approximately ₹9,000 crore. Vehicles are allowed to travel at a speed of 100 kilometres per hour on this expressway. NHAI plans to install CCTV cameras across the entire stretch of the expressway for monitoring and safety purposes.

After the installation of CCTV cameras, any vehicle exceeding the speed limit of 100 kilometres per hour will receive an online challan (traffic ticket).
