Arvind Kejriwal addressed a public meeting in Gurugram and made several major promises regarding the formation of the Aam Aadmi Party government in Haryana. He stated that if his party comes to power, electricity will be free in Haryana, schools and hospitals will be built, healthcare will be free, employment opportunities will increase, and ₹1,000 will be sent to women’s accounts every month.
Aam Aadmi Party’s candidate Bir Singh held a public meeting in the Badshahpur Assembly constituency in Gurugram, where the party’s national convener Arvind Kejriwal was present. At the gathering held in Sector 9, Arvind Kejriwal stated, “I spent five months in jail. I am a diabetic. They stopped my insulin injections for 15 days in jail. They wanted to break my spirit, but I am from Haryana, and people from Haryana never lose their courage.
He stated that in Delhi, there is 24-hour free electricity, no power cuts, and zero bills. If our government is formed, electricity will be free in Haryana. The BJP is in power in 22 states, and electricity is expensive there. In our two states, electricity is free. My fault is that I made government schools in Delhi excellent. Four lakh children have enrolled in government schools from private schools. Modi Ji wanted to shut down my schools, which is why I was put in jail.
Kejriwal: 1.2 million children have been provided employment in Delhi.
He said that we have provided employment to 1.2 million children in Delhi. As soon as they come to power, they loot the people’s money. My fault is that I made government hospitals in Delhi better. Modi Ji thought that I would now form a government in Haryana as well. I established Mohalla Clinics in Delhi. Modi Ji wants to put Kejriwal in jail to stop his work.
Kejriwal: Haryana’s outstanding electricity bill will be waived.
He said, “My promise is that Haryana’s outstanding electricity bills will be waived. We will build schools and hospitals. Healthcare will be free. We will provide jobs without bribery. ₹1,000 will be sent to women’s accounts every month. If I had been released from jail three months earlier, our government would have been formed in Haryana. No government in Haryana will be formed without the support of the Aam Aadmi Party.” The public meeting was also attended by Aam Aadmi Party’s state president Dr. Sushil Gupta and other party leaders.
